Witness Appeal

We are appealing for witnesses as part of an investigation into a series of thefts from vehicles in Chertsey and Egham on 15th and 16th May.

A number of vans and a shed were broken into with high-value tools and other items stolen across the two days. We believe that a red Mercedes Sprinter van was used by the suspects during the thefts. Two people have been arrested in connection with the series.

Police Constable Matt Saunders, who is investigating the case, said: “As well as appealing for witnesses, we are also appealing for other victims of theft in the area to come forward so we can investigate. “Tool theft is a heartless crime which destroys tradespeople’s livelihoods, leaving them with an expensive bill and often unable to work until they can replace what was stolen. “I would encourage anyone who witnessed something suspicious in the area, or who believes they are a victim of theft themselves, to report it to us.”
