Mole Valley Beat Bulletin Weds 21st Sept 2022

Burglary business: theft in Dorking shop on 15/09 where man walked into store and while distracting staff stole items from bag. Also on the same day there was another theft from a shop where the suspect has entered a staff (restricted area) and stolen money from a purse.

Two bicycles locked to railings Church St Leatherhead stolen. Locks had been cut.   

Registering on BikeRegister means you could be reunited with your bike in the event of it being stolen. It does not, however, help make it a hard target to thieves.

Burglary business: Persons have broken into lock ups and caused damage Woods Rd Ashtead on 16/09/2022 smashed door of hinges, lots of graffiti and broken glass everywhere. Interfered with small tractor looking like they tried to start it.

Fraud: Car sold for reduced price after being scammed into believing there was something wrong with the engine.  Basically con-artists secretly pour oil into the coolant reservoir of the vehicle for sale, and then offer a cut-price because they falsely claim the engine is wrecked.
