Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries, catalytic converter and vehicle thefts reported between the 26th February 2026 to 5th March 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough.
Arrests. There were 42 arrests in the period February 26th 2026 to March 4th 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 11, Rape/Sexual Offence 3, Drugs 2, Drunk/Drug in Charge 2, Prescribed Limit 1, Violent Crime in a Public Place 3, Crime Public order 1, Offensive Weapon 1, Harassment/Stalking 2, Master Occurrence 5*, Child at Risk 1, Theft 1, Burglary - Residential 1, Road Related Offence 2, Suspicious Incident1, Criminal damage 2, Prisoner recall1, None of these 2.. *A Master Occurrence is used when recording an arrest where a number of offences are recorded for one incident.

Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been two reports of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. The reports included an attempted Courier Fraud and a suspected rogue trader.

North 27/02/2026 Between 14:00 to 15:00. Sutton Lane, Banstead. Attempted Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Attempted forced entry through the front door. Stolen: Nothing taken. (PR 45260023376) Between 16/02/2026 00:00 to 08/03/20-26 00:00. The Avenue, Tadworth. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Suspect(s) have gained entry through the garage door and then attempted to gain access to the main property through an internal door. Stolen: Nothing taken. (PR 45260027101)
Central Between 24/02/2026 08:00 to 27/02/2026 10:30. Royal Earlswood Park, Redhill. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Entry has been gained to a communal area for an apartment block. Stolen: Parcel. (PR 45260024455) 03/03/2026 Between 17:00 to 20:00. The Way, Reigate. Residential Outbuilding Burglary. Method of Entry – Not confirmed at this time. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time. (PR 45260025166) Between 03/03/2026 20:00 to 04/03/2026 20:30. The Way, Reigate. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Suspect(s) have gained access through the utility room door, located at the side of the property. Stolen: Handbag, Cash, Credit Note and Car Keys. (PR 45260025402) 05/03/2026 03:02. Alexander Road, Reigate. Attempted Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Attempted access through the front door of the property. Stolen: Nothing taken. (PR 45260026123) Between 27/02/2026 00:00 to 01/03/2026 00:00. London Road, Merstham. Residential Outbuilding Burglary. Method of Entry – Access gained through doors to a cabin located in the garden.
