Dear Residents,

Welcome to the Police Update for past week. 

The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries and vehicle thefts reported between the 29th May 2025 to 6th June 2025.

Appeal – Woodhatch, Reigate Area.

We are urgently trying to trace the driver of a silver Mercedes following a collision in #Reigate during the early evening of Thursday, 5 June.

The collision occurred just before 5.45pm on Hornbeam Road,  Woodhatch,  Reigate,  between the driver of a silver Mercedes and a pedestrian. The pedestrian has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. 

The driver of the car left the scene following the collision and we are urgently asking for information to help us trace this vehicle. We are looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about the vehicle, or its movements, after the collision.

(Update 10:40pm 05/06/2025) Thank you to everyone who has shared our appeal so far. Officers have located the vehicle involved and continue to pursue a number of active lines of enquiry to trace the driver.

(Update  11:00am on 06/06/25): Hornbeam Road has reopened. Our officers continue to work around the clock work to investigate this incident and we're asking anybody with information to please come forward.

    Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough.

    Records show that the types of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week included a report of a telephone scam with the suspect claiming to be from Brixton Police. There was no financial loss in this case.

    Between  14/05/2025 13:30 to 31/05/2025 13:45.   How Lane, Chipstead.  Attempted Residential Burglary.  Method of Entry – Attempted forced entry through the patio door.

    Stolen: Nothing taken.    (PR 45250064991)

     

    Central

    02/06/2025 12:21.   Wordsworth Mead, Redhill.  Attempted Residential Burglary.  Method of Entry – Attempted entry through the front door.

    Stolen: Nothing taken.    (PR 45250066100)

    05/06/2025 00:00.   Bushfield Drive, Redhill.  Residential Burglary.  Method of Entry – It is reported that entry has been gained through a door to the property.

    Stolen: Not confirmed at this time.   (PR 45250067339)

    Between 31/05/2025 between 12:00 to 04/06/2025 13:41.  Kelsey Close, Horley.  Residential Burglary.  Method of Entry – It is understood that entry has been gained through a window.
