Bulletin 11 May 22nd – June 4th 2025
Despite the rain today the weather forecast for the next few weeks appears to be reasonable and so a word of warning if you decide to venture out for a walk a little further from home and to visit some of the woodland areas around Tandridge.
Every year we have a number of instances of parked vehicles, in woodland areas in particular, being broken into and handbags or other items that are visible inside the vehicle being stolen. Please secrete such items before leaving the vehicle. Check before you place items in the boot that other people are not hanging around in the vicinity or sitting in a car close by as they may be watching to see what is being placed in the boot .
The boots of many cars can be accessed from inside the car if entry is gained that way and therefore it is worth considering whether you should be leaving valuable items in the boot at all whilst leaving your vehicle unattended in car parks that are in an isolated area.
In the past car parks on Limpsfield Chart, Titsey Hill and Staffhurst Wood have been targeted.
