We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A24 Dorking on Saturday 12 April.

The incident took place at around 1pm between the Cockerel Roundabout and the North Holmwood Roundabout and involved a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, an 11-year-old child, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car remained on the scene and has fully cooperated with our investigation.

To establish the full circumstances of the collision, we are looking to speak to anyone who might have witnessed this collision, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.

If you have any information that might assist our investigation, please get in touch quoting PR/ 45250043362 via direct message.

If you would rather not speak to police or to prefer to give information anonymously, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or completing their online form at https://orlo.uk/vCBGd

Do you know the #Fatal5?

So far this month we’ve been discussing the Fatal Five, and why they are considered the biggest threats to road user safety today.

Recognising these behaviours and adopting safe practises whilst on the road will go a long way in keeping everyone safe.

The Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Survey is now live.

The survey is run yearly and is a vital way of us learning about the ASB issues that matter to you in your neighbourhood.

We know that ASB is not a minor issue for those involved, and that persistent ASB can be an indicator of serious and organised crime, such as exploitation.

This survey is an important tool for us to help understand the issues you face, the impact it has on you, and how we can improve our response to ASB.

The survey is open until Tuesday, 6 May. It should only take 5-10 minutes to complete, and your answers will form the basis of the work we carry out going forward to reduce ASB where you live.

Access the survey here: https://orlo.uk/GdsXe

As you enjoy the warmer weather, please be wildfire aware to protect yourself, nature and Surrey's beautiful open spaces.

It only takes one BBQ or open fire to spread quickly and start a fire.

  • Avoid open fires in the countryside
  •

  • Swap BBQs for picnics
  •

  • Take your litter home
