Tandridge Neighbourhood Watch Newsletter

Bulletin 7 March 26th – April 9th 2025

Dear Residents

///grow.bounty.works = Caterham Police Station

Providing an accurate location is crucial when you call us for assistance, it enables us to reach you quickly.

In urban areas, this is normally simple as there are usually road signs and landmarks.

However, across Tandridge's extensive network of country lanes, parks, and open spaces may pose a challenge.

To address this, consider using the What3Words App, which can pinpoint your location down to a 3m x 3m square which has a three word code that you can give our call handlers and that will help Police or other emergency services reach you quickly.

The App isn't just for emergencies - it can also be used to co-ordinate meetups at events and many other situations.

    Our Neighbourhood Patrol Team and Safer Neighbourhood Team deal with a variety of incidents. Here are a few they dealt with since the last Bulletin.

    Not all policing involves arresting people. Crime prevention is also an important aspect of our work.

    Last week PCSO Conrad Cheeseman and Police Support Volunteer Neil Barnes were at stables in Warlingham where they marked a number of leather saddles. The details were recorded  on the police database and the owners issued  with a Registration Certificate. This is a free service provided by Surrey Police.

    If you own a leather saddle which is kept in the Tandridge Borough Area and  you wish to have it marked email neil.barnes@surrey.police.uk and he will contact you with further information.

    PCSO Amy Ord and PCSO Conrad Cheeseman have been visiting residents at Greenacres Lodge in Warlingham this week to offer scam and fraud prevention advice.

    Fraudsters don’t discriminate against anyone! Breaking the silence gives us the power back and allows us to raise awareness to others.

    If you have been a victim of fraud, please, speak up and share with someone.

    If you would like further advice or support regarding online and telephone scams, please visit the Surrey Police website or Action Fraud
