Dear resident, We have seen an increase in reports of shed break-ins across Surrey this week, and we want to remind you to secure any outbuildings just as you would your home.
First off, check your home insurance covers the contents of any shed, garage or outbuilding from theft. Ensure any security lights or CCTV are in working order, and consider a battery-operated shed alarms.
Next up, take a look at your shed and consider the steps you could take to make it more secure, whether that be securing windows with wire mesh or grills, or investing in a strong padlock with no exposed screws.
