CRIME REPORTS IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
Our Neighbourhood Patrol Team and Safer Neighbourhood Team deal with a variety of incidents. Here are a few they dealt with since the last Bulletin.
There were 23 Arrests in the period January 27th to February 8th 2025 : Domestic Abuse / Violent Domestic Abuse 10 , Prescribed Limit Offence 4 ,Public Order 1 , Crime other 1 ,Fraud being Investigated 2 , Stalking 1, Burglary Residential 1, Domestic Incident 1, Child at Risk 1 , Drug Related 1 .
On February 6th after a male driver was stopped for speeding he was arrested after testing positive for cocaine.

DORMANSLAND AND OUTWOOD
Arson
St Piers Lane, Dormansland.Around13.30 February 11th a derelict building caught fire and was severely damaged. Police were advised by the Fire & Rescue Service that the most likely cause was arson but at this stage there are no known suspects and no one was reported having been seen near the building immediately before the incident (PR45250016983).
Vehicle Crime
Millers Lane, Outwood β Theft. Overnight February 1st to 2nd index plates GN03UNL were stolen from a car (PR4525001339).
Station Road, Dormansland β Theft. Between 05.30 and 19.00 February 5th index plates AV57UXJ were stolen from a car (PR45250015107).
BLETCHINGLEY
Vehicle Crime
Castle Street, Bletchingley β Theft. Overnight February 2nd to 3rd a vehicle was stolen and later found burnt out in a ditch in Copthorne (PR45250013309).
OXTED. HURST GREEN AND LIMPSFIELD
Burglary Residential including sheds and garages Ballards Lane, Limpsfield. Between 16.00 and 21.45 February 5th it is believed suspects having climbed over the rear fence of a property then managed to force open a first floor window after managing to get up onto a flat roof. An untidy search was undertaken and an LV handbag, Tods canvas bag and various items of Tiffany jewellery were stolen (PR45250014580).
Theft Huxley Drive, Hurst Green .Between February 2nd and 5th a locked bike was stolen (PR45250014885).
Vehicle Crime Peter Avenue, Oxted β Theft. Around 10.50 February 3rd the rear door of a van was forced open and a Makita drill set, Makita saw and a Hilti nail gun was stolen. A grey Audi A5 was seen parked next to the van and a witness saw two passengers get out wearing dark clothing and ski masks removing the tools from the van (PR45250013416). Miles Lane, Limpsfield β Theft. Around 12.15 February 3rd one male jumped out of a car believed to be a silver Audi A3 and stole tools from a van which had its side door open (PR45250013582). Gresham Road, Limpsfield β Theft. On February 4th a motor bike stolen earlier that day was found in Tatsfield by the registered owner as it had a tracker fitted (PR45250014269).
CATERHAM, CHALDON AND CATERHAM ON THE HILL
Robbery Croydon Road, Caterham .Around 17.45 February 12th the victim was walking along the road when he was stopped by a male who demanded he handed his IPhone 15 mobile over to him and threatened to shank him if he did not. The male who was riding a bike was described as black with dark complexion, approx. 6β 1β tall, average to skinny build age 17 to 22. He was wearing black joggers, black shoes and a black coat zipped up and with the hood up. He looks as if he had another pair of trousers on under the joggers. The bike was black and had a squeaky rear wheel (PR45250017503). Theft Leazes Avenue, Chaldon. Around 18.23 February 4th CCTV revealed that two to three people with hoods up and dark clothing stole a trailer with a cement mixer on it after backing onto a private driveway in a van (PR45250015905). Harestone Valley Road, Caterham β Theft. Around 10.03 February 10th a Mercedes panel van with two males described as white arrives at a school site and loaded metal into it before driving off (PR4525001642). Vehicle Crime The Grove, Caterham On The Hill β Theft. Between 08.50 and 09.10 February 6th keys, medication and other items were stolen from an unlocked car (PR45250014837).
Banstead Road, Caterham On The Hill β Theft. At 09.30 February 7th index plate NV14YRS was ripped of the front of a car by a stickily built unknown male who then jumped into a grey Audi. This vehicle was involved in a number of break ins to van and cars over a wide area (PR45250015230).
Coulsdon Road, Caterham On The Hill β Theft. Overnight February 6th to 7th index plates ET67CXN were stolen from a car (PR45250015714).
Wood Lane, Caterham On The Hill β Theft. Around 20.08 February 11th CCTV captured the theft of an Audi A3 which had been left in the driveway of a house with the keys in it for a short period of time. The car was found burnt out in the early hours of the morning in Nutfield (PR45250017118) along with a van that had been stolen in Redhill which had also had its engine removed (PR45250017284).
Church Walk, Caterham β Theft. Between 15.00 and 16.30 February 10th index plates OY58PHO were reported to have been stolen in a car park but it is possible they were stolen before that when the car was parked in Chapel Road, Warlingham (PR45250016556).
. WARLINGHAM AND WOLDINGHAM
Burglary Business and Community
Limpsfield Road, Warlingham. Between February 1st and 3rd eight containers on a building site were broken into and building materials and tools were stolen (PR45250013316).
Criminal Damage.
Park View Road, Woldingham. Around 11.30 February 9th two males described as Asian attended a property to inspect a car that had been offered for sale. Whilst one male distracted the victim by asking questions about the spare tyre that was in the boot, the other spent time looking under the bonnet. Whilst taking the two males for a test drive the car started smoking and the victim discovered that oil had been poured into the coolant of the engine causing damage. The males then offered a derisory amount for the car and subsequently pestered the victim to sell by phoning and texting him. The victim has since received a message from Auto Trader advising him not to deal with the males as they are not authentic (PR45250016470).
Vehicle Crime
Leas Road, Warlingham β Theft. Around 10.49 February 5th the window of a van was smashed and two bags of clothing stolen. The suspects drove away in a dark grey/silver Audi (sports model) (PR45250014570).
Limpsfield Road, Warlingham β Criminal Damage. Between 12.00 and 12.30 February 9th holes were drilled in the rear of a van but no access was gained (PR45250016323).
