In case you missed reading the January 2025 report by The Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner you may be interested in the statistics below In the past 12 months, Surrey Police Force has: π More than doubled its charge rate, with an additional 3,500 offences prosecuted π Made an additional 2,500 arrests π Increased charges for both burglary and assault with injury by 90 per cent π Achieved a four-fold increase in charges for shoplifting offences π Doubled its charges for offences involving violence against women and girls We will be continuing our efforts to improve on these statistics in the year ahead.

CRIME REPORTS IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
We are appealing for the public's help to find 40-year-old Jason Mclarty from Croydon, who is wanted on suspicion of multiple thefts in Oxted.
Mclarty is described as a Black man of slim build. He has connections to Oxted, Hurst Green, Croydon and Hounslow. Have you seen Mclarty, or have information on where he might be? Our Neighbourhood Patrol Team and Safer Neighbourhood Team deal with a variety of incidents. Here are a few they dealt with since the last Bulletin.
There were 43 Arrests in the period January 13th to January 26th 2025 : Domestic Abuse / Violent Domestic Abuse 20 , Violent Crime Other 2 , Harassment 1 , Prescribed Limit Offence 2 ,Public Order 2 ,Theft 2 , Criminal Damage 2, ,Sexual Offence 4, Burglary Business & Community 1 , Crime other 1,Fraud being Investigated 1, Keyless Vehicle Theft 1, Stalking 1, Possession of Extreme Pornographic Material 1,Breach of Court Imposed Bail 1, Arrest for Another Force 1 .
In the early hours of January 17th the owner of a van in Ockleys Mead, Godstone was awoken by the noise of the engine of his van revving. The van was stopped by officers using a stinger a short time later and the juvenile driver was arrested. He has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and he has been bailed for theft of a motor vehicle and drug drive whilst enquiries continue.
On January 26th a male crashed his car into a roundabout in Godstone and was arrested for driving whilst over the prescribed limit for drugs.

LINGFIELD, FELCOURT, SMALLFIELD, SHIPLEY BRIDGE AND EDENBRIDGE
Burglary Residential including sheds and garages
Green Lane, Shipley Bridge. Between 13.15 January 16th and 16.45 January17th after finding a spare key the suspect entered through the front door of a property and conducted an untidy search. A car radio, a few items of clothing and passports were placed in a bag that was left on the front doorstep however a substantial amount of cash in a wardrobe was stolen (PR45250006193).
Burglary Business and Community
Tandridge Lane, Lingfield. Overnight January 21st to 22nd the front door lock to an office was smashed and an office and workshop were searched. A substantial amount of cash, hand tools, air tool, charger and battery pack were stolen (PR45250008736). Overnight January 23rd to 24th two tractors were stolen from the same location but both were found abandoned the following day (PR45250009555).
Blackberry Lane, Felcourt. Between January 22nd and 24th the padlock on an outbuilding was broken and several thousand pounds worth of petrol garden tools were stolen (PR4520009763).
Theft
Redehall Road, Smallfield. At 12.20 January 5th thirty two trees were stolen from a driveway and driven off in a dark blue or grey Ford Ranger (PR45250009953).
Dwelly Lane, Edenbridge. Between 18.00 and 19.00 January 26th a number of 6ft x 3ft mesh panels in box tubing plus some larger panels with solid panelling were stolen from a property (PR45250010437).
Vehicle Crime
Dowlands Lane, Smallfield β Keyless Theft. Between 14.00 and 14.20 January 17th a grey Mercedes C Class index OP17HGY was stolen (R45250006566). ON January 27th between 04.00 and 12.00 a rear index plate CN&Β£VCC was stolen from a van (PR45250011114).
GODSTONE AND SOUTH GODSTONE
Vehicle Crime
Brickhouse Lane, South Godstone β Keyless Theft. Between January 17th and 20th a white Scania Volumetric Mixer index BU11TAY was stolen (PR45250007383).
Lindley Road, Godstone β Criminal Damage. Overnight January 24th to 25th the door handle of a car was damaged after someone tried to force it open (PR45250009580).
Ockleys Mead, Godstone β Theft. Between January 25th and 27th index plates LD11VWM were stolen from a car (PR45250010393).
OXTED AND LIMPSFIELD
Burglary Residential including sheds and garages Pastens Road, Limpsfield. Between 15.00 January 25th and 08.00 January 27th the garage door of a house under renovation was forced open and tools were stolen including a wooden stock black metal telescopic sight Underlever ANO air rifle in a green case, shoulder strap and 50 pellets (PR45250010426).
Vehicle Crime Barnfield Way, Oxted β Theft. Between 21.00 and 22.00 January 15th a car was stolen but found overturned a short time later in Clacket Lane, Westerham. A member of the public saw male taking items from the vehicle before getting into another vehicle which drove off (PR45250006207). Gordons Way, Oxted β Criminal Damage. Between 12.oo and 22.45 January 25th four windows of a car were smashed (PR45250010300). Burglary Business and Community
Station Road West, Oxted. Around 16.45 January 17th an employee found a man described as black with long dreadlocks in a green army style coat and aged around 50 in the upstairs of a shop. It was later discovered that a Retro 15W guitar amplifier was missing. Another shop owner later reported that a man fitting the description had been wandering up and down the road with a wheeled trolley (ref) which only had one wheel (PR45250006670).
CATERHAM
Burglary Residential including sheds and garages
Harestone Valley Road, Caterham. Between 09.00 and 20.00 January 17th the rear door of a house was smashed to gain entry and an untidy search took place. An unknown amount of jewellery, front door key and keys to two cars were stolen (PR45250006443).
Vehicle Crime Cromwell Road, Caterham β Theft. Overnight January 26th to 27th index plates KW14KOD were stolen from a car (PR45250010424).
WARLINGHAM AND WOLDINGHAM
Burglary Residential including sheds and garages
Park View Road, Woldingham. Between January 16th and 23rd a house was broken into and an untidy search took place. Jewellery and various sets of Gold Sovereigns and Commemorative coin sets were stolen (PR45250008862).
Westview Road, Warlingham. Around 19.00 January 28th the owner of a property received who was abroad at the time received notification that his CCTV camera had captured images of a male suspect inside the house. Entry had been made via arear second floor window and an untidy search carried out. At this stage it is not known if anything was stolen. The male shown on CCTV was white, skinny build, wearing a black beanie hat/balaclava, black North Face jacket, black Ellese trousers and black gloves (PR452150011014).
Beechwood Lane, Warlingham. Around 18.30 January 28th the victim was informed by his alarm company that an activation had taken place and it was discovered that the rear patio door of the house had been smashed and items including some Euros had been taken from a make shift office on the ground floor. (PR45250011451).
Theft
Park View Road , Woldingham. Around 08.33 January 25th a male was seen to bypass a temporary gate to access a property and steal a heather and another item from the front garden (PR45250009698).
Vehicle Crime
Search wood Road, Warlingham β Theft. Between 06.44 and 16.00 January 15th a large hole was drilled in the back door of a van and a large bag containing Makita power tools was stolen (PR45250005711).
Church Road, Warlingham β Criminal Damage. Overnight January 20th to 21st two front tyres of a car were deliberately punctured (PR45250008439).
Chelsham Common, Warlingham β Theft. Between 08.30 and 16.30 January 21st front and rear index plates were stolen from a car (PR45250008555).
Tithepit Shaw Lane β Warlingham. Between 21.00 January 26th and 05.45 January 27th an unlocked car door was opened and a bag of clothes stolen as well as the glove box being emptied with the contents left on the front seat (PR45250010286). Hillbury Road, Warlingham. Between 00.51 and 00.57 another unlocked car was entered a money/loose change, a small bottle of perfume and a hat were stolen (PR45250010386).Close by a car was also entered and a 3 pack of Asda girls jogging bottoms stolen.
