Dear Surrey Heath Residents

Monday sees our Policing Your Community event go virtual. This evening event is a chance for you to hear from the Police and Crime Commissioner, Chief Constable, and their three Divisional Commanders, and to put your questions to them.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the past week.   Summary details of these are provided below.

BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY BURGLARY – 0

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY – 4

45250002171 Crabtree Road, CAMBERLEY – entry gained via smashing glass panel on back door. Items stolen. Occurred between 06/01/25 17:30 hrs and 07/01/25 08:00hrs.

45250002254 Crabtree Road, CAMBERLEY – entry gained via smashing back door and an untidy search conducted.  not known if items stolen.  Occurred between 06/01/25 17:30 hrs and 07/01/25 08:00hrs.

45250002821 Rivermead Road, CAMBERLEY – entry gained via smashing back door. Not known if items stolen.  Occurred between 04/01/25 and 08/01/25 at 16:05hrs.

45250004123 Keswick Drive, LIGHTWATER – attempted burglary on unoccupied property via damaging front door.  Occurred between 19/10/24 00:00hrs and 11/01/25 13:00hrs. 

Some simple tips to keep your property more secure: 

  • Consider planting thorny bushes around the parameter of your properties particular the back garden parameter. 

  • Leave interior lights on when away from the property both at front and rear of the property.  Leave TV/radio on.

  • Don’t leave ladders, bins or other items that can allow access to first floor windows.

  • Do tell neighbours if you will be away from the property overnight.

    Theft of Motor Vehicle – 1

    45250004021 Upper Gordon Road, CAMBERLEY – theft of motor vehicle (Ford Transit). Occurred between 10/01/25 18:00hrs and 11/01/25 14:00hrs.

    Theft from Motor Vehicle – 2

    45250001644 The Avenue, CAMBERLEY – vehicle damaged, window smashed.  Occurred 0n 06/01/25 00:15hrs and 00:57hrs.

    45250004214 Garfield Road, CAMBERLEY – personal items and clothing stolen from vehicle.   Occurred on 12/01/25 between 04:03hrs and 04:30hrs.

    Please do NOT leaving valuables on display and making sure vehicles are locked and secured.

    To provide a further idea of the criminal activities of the Surrey Heath Police neighbourhood and response teams in the past week, there were 124 new incidents/occurrences being investigated during this period. A summary of relevant incidents by crime type is given below.

    Robbery - 1

    Do not give your bank details or transfer money online unless you have taken due diligence to ensure they are a legitimate organisation, if in doubt DO NOT send money.  Please remind your members to report to the police any sextortion and DO NOT send money to blackmailers.
