Dear Residents

 

Thank you for your ongoing support to local policing over the past year.  I hope you continue to find the Neighbourhood Watch newsletter useful and that as well as offering an awareness of suspicious activity and crime it also keeps you informed of the successes my team have in making arrests and solving crimes in Tandridge.

I hope you have all had an enjoyable Christmas and that you have a happy and crime free New Year.

WITNESS APPEALS

 

We are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the fatal collision in South Nutfield on   December 29th.

 

Police were called to a collision involving a car and a tree in Coopers Hill Road around 9.45pm.

 

The driver, a man in his 30s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are aware and are being supported by officers.  

 

We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, anyone with dashcam footage or any other information which could help us progress our investigation, to contact us quoting reference PR/45240149534

 

We are appealing for the public’s help in finding wanted man Daniel Robert Lyons.

 

Daniel, 39, of no fixed address, is wanted on suspicion of theft.

 

He is described as a White man, around 5’9” tall, with brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a blue top underneath, light grey bottoms and black trainers.

 

If you see Daniel, or have any information that might help us locate him, do not approach him but please contact us quoting PR/45240139111.

    CRIME REPORTS IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD

     

     

    Our Neighbourhood Patrol Team and Safer Neighbourhood Team deal with a variety of incidents. Here are a few they dealt with since the last Bulletin.

     

     

     

    There were 8 Arrests in the period December 16th to December 22nd     : Domestic Abuse / Violent Domestic Abuse 6, Fraud 1, Theft 1.   

     

    On December 20th officers conducting speed checks in Felbridge stopped a vehicle and subsequently arrested the male driver for driving in excess of the prescribed limit.

     

    On December 27th a male driver was stopped in Whyteleafe at a site where Operation Limit was in operation and subsequently arrested after failing a drug swipe and for driving a car in a dangerous condition. On December 28th as part of the same operation a male driver was arrested for driving whilst over the prescribed limit for alcohol and drugs.

    Vehicle Crime

     

    Antlands Lane, Shipley Bridge – Theft. Between December 19th and 27th index plates BEN563 were stolen from a car (PR45240149119).

     

    GODSTONE AND BLINDLEY HEATH

     

    Vehicle Crime

     

    Church Lane, Godstone – Theft. Between 18.05 and 18.20 December 22nd index plates RV55OBO were stolen (PR45240147490).

     

    Featherstone, Blindley Heath – Theft. Overnight December 27th to 28th a white Ford Fiesta ST index FX65AWR was stolen (PR45240149186). 

     

    OXTED, LIMPSFIELD AND HURST GREEN 

     

    Burglary Residential including sheds and garages

     

    Tippett Lane, Hurst Green. Between 18.30 and 19.00 December 27th after climbing over a fence into the rear garden of a house two suspects broke the glass in rear bi fold doors and then reached in to unlock it using a key that was in the internal lock.  They found car keys in the kitchen and then stole a red BMW M140i index X80SRF 9PR45240148911).

     

    Vehicle Crime

    Bluehouse Lane, Oxted – Theft. Between 18.35 and 20.36 December 17th a metallic gold Toyota Hilux index LG17RWX was stolen. CCTV footage showed three males approach the vehicle, gain access and drive off (PR45240145995).

     

    High Street, Limpsfield – Theft. Overnight December 27th to 28th index plates KC06LOF were stolen from a car (PR45240149082).

     

    Wildlife

     

    White Lane, Oxted. Around 21.39 December 30th three white males in a black Jeep were seen lamping in the fields.On police arrival and despite an extensive search the males could not be located. However the Jeep containing ball bearings and a boot full of suspected stolen plant tools was seized (PR45240149912).

     

    CATERHAM AND WHYTLELEAFE 

     

    Burglary Business and Community

     

    Godstone Road, Whyteleafe. Around 09.00 December 28th two storage containers were broken into and CCTV footage revealed the suspect removing two bags of fittings, a drill machine and a rucksack full of crimping jaws (PR45240149432).

     

     Vehicle Crime

     

    Hillside Road, Whyteleafe – Theft. Between 21.30 December 26th and 00.15 December 27th a car was broken into and a number of Christmas presents stolen (PR45240148719).

     

    Maple Road, Whyteleafe – Criminal Damage. Overnight December 24th to 25th a car was keyed from the front bumper to the boot on the offside (PR45240149097).

     

    Stanstead Road, Caterham – Theft. Overnight December 28th to 29th a car was broken into and cash, golf shoes and water proofs were stolen (PR45240149398).

     

    WARLINGHAM AND WOLDINGHAM

     

    Burglary Residential including sheds and garages

     

    Westhall Road, Warlingham. Between 12.00 December 15th and 08.00 December 16th Makita and Dewalt tools were among a number of tools stolen from a construction site where a house was being built (PR45240144584).

     

    Limpsfield Road, Warlingham – Theft. Around 13.35 December 19th three suspects in a black Fiat broke into a van and stole tools (PR45240146931).

     

    Theft of Plant and Machinery

     

    Limpsfield Road, Warlingham. Between 16.30 and 19.00 December 19th an orange sit on roller HD100 that had been parked up prior to road resurfacing commencing was stolen. The Tracker indicated that its last known position was in the Sevenoaks area but despite a local search by Kent Police it was not found (PR45240146301).

     

    Robbery

     

    Redvers Road, Warlingham. Around 15.45 December 24th a parcel delivery diver had just got back into his cab and put a key in the ignition when he spotted a male opening the driver’s door and who proceeded to grab his jacket. He then saw someone climbing into the cab from the nearside and the two suspects then pulled the victim from the van and he fell onto the ground. The van was driven off and found 30 minutes later abandoned in Landscape Road, Warlingham with parcels still in the seat and the rear door locked. Despite an extensive search no suspects were found and it is not believed that anything was stolen (PR45240148130).

     

    Vehicle Crime

     

    Lunghurst Road, Woldingham – Theft. Around 13.00 December 29th front index plate P19RRY was stolen from a car (PR45240149474).
