Policing Your Community roadshow comes to Surrey Heath

🚓 Burglary, anti-social parking and cyber-crime were among the issues raised during the tenth stop on the Policing Your Community roadshow this week.

Surrey Heath residents had the opportunity to share their views on crime in their community with Police and Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend, Surrey Police’s Chief Constable Tim De Meyer, and Borough Commander Gemma Taylor.

The evening began with updates from the Force, and Insp Taylor shared news of recent successes in the borough, including the imprisonment of a local drug dealer.

She also revealed ongoing partnership work to drive down burglaries and protect victims.

Questions were then asked on a range of topics, including:

🔴 Anti-social parking that has been causing issues around local schools
🔴 The impact of cyber-crime
🔴 Money laundering
🔴 Police visibility
🔴 Whether delays in the criminal justice system are having an effect on officer morale

We’d like to thank all those who joined the team at Frimley Community Centre.

For those who were unable to attend, an online Policing Your Community event will take place on January 13 next year.

The next in-person Policing Your Community event will take place at Haslemere Museum on Wednesday, December 11.

To sign up to the online event, or any of the remaining in-person meetings, visit Surrey Police’s dedicated webpage 👇
