🚓 Anti-social behaviour, unregistered boats and shoplifting were among the issues raised during the eighth stop on the Policing Your Community roadshow this week.
Elmbridge residents had the opportunity to share their views on crime in their community with Police and Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend, Surrey Police’s Chief Constable Tim De Meyer, and Borough Commander Lucy Marriott.
The evening began with updates from the Force, and Insp Marriott shared news of recent successes in the borough, including ongoing work to reduce burglaries and vehicle crime.
She also gave more information about recent efforts to use data analysis to disrupt persistent anti-social behaviour.
Questions were then asked on a range of topics, including:
🔴 The unauthorised boats, now numbering more than 100, moored between Hampton Court Bridge and Sunbury Lock 🔴 Anti-social behaviour linked to the boats 🔴 School truancy and concerns about child exploitation 🔴 The impact of shoplifting and the Force’s response 🔴 How officers use ANPR and CCTV
We’d like to thank all those who joined the team at Imber Court on a very wet and miserable night!
For those who were unable to attend, an online Policing Your Community event will take place on January 13 next year.
The next in-person Policing Your Community event will take place at the Village Centre in Englefield Green on Monday, November 25.
