Crime in Woking over last week

This week’s regular crime report from Surrey Police for the Woking area is below.

These reports are sent to everyone registered on the Neighbourhood Alert system with the purpose of making you aware of what is happening in Woking. This is only a chosen snapshot of what has happened in Woking during this period.

 

Woking incidents in last period

During this period the following might be of be interest. Did you see anything suspicious?

Burglary. Dartnell Court, West Byfleet. Thursday 7 November 20:45-21:03. 45230128447. Offenders broke into rear patio door, untidy search, items stolen.

 

Theft. Semper Close, Knaphill. Tuesday 5 November 16:30 – Wednesday 6 November 07:30. 45240128575. Theft of number plates from black Volvo V70.

 

Public order offence in Woking on Thursday 7 November. Police were called at around 5:15pm to the Costa Coffee on High Street, following reports of a man targeting an individual with hate-related language. Officers attended and arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of a hate-related public order offence. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please contact via direct message @SurreyPolice, quoting PR/45240128368.

Surrey residents are invited to voice their concerns at a series of public engagement events this autumn and winter, before a final meeting takes place online in January.

The Woking event will take place on 11th November at Greenfield School and will run from 6.30pm to 8pm.  Chief Constable Tim De Meyer and Police and Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend will be present at each event, along with Borough Commander Inspector Ed Lyons. Attendance is free, but registration is encouraged.
