Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries and vehicle thefts reported between the 26th September 2024 to 03rd October 2024. Please Note
Reigate and Banstead residents will have the opportunity to put their questions and comments to Surrey Police’s Chief Constable Tim De Meyer and Police and Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend to the Chief Constable when a series of public engagement events returns this October. The in-person event will run from 6.30pm-8pm on Monday 7th October 2024, at Banstead Community Centre SM7 2BQ. Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. There were 6 reports of Frauds in the last week, including Identity Fraud, Courier Fraud, On-Line Shopping Fraud, Financial Abuse and Telephone Fraud. One of the reports is included below; North Area of the Borough. - Courier/Telephone Scam The victim has received a call from someone claiming to be from the Police, stating their bank had been compromised. The suspect has said courier would visit to collect the required items. (Financial loss) (PR 45240111366)

Burglaries North 02/10/2024 Between 12:00 to 12:53. Markedge Lane, Chipstead . Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry through a side door to the property. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time (PR 452401112578)
Central Between 26/09/2024 00:00 to 28/09/2024 00:00. Felland Way, Reigate. Residential Outbuilding Burglary. Method of Entry - Forced entry through a shed door. The shed is located on an allotment. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time. (PR 45240111000)
