Rogue traders are criminals who pose as professional tradespeople, but their real aim is to con people out of their hard-earned money and can have a huge financial impact. Shockingly since 1 January of this year, we have received over 100 reports of doorstep crime, equating to an average loss of nearly £10,000 per person. Rogue traders are criminals. They pose as professional tradespeople, but their real aim is to con people out of their hard-earned money. They will often target elderly or vulnerable people and then sometimes share this information other criminals. We are working with our partners including Trading Standards, Woking Borough Council and Crimestoppers to target these criminals and reach those who may be targets.
