Personal Fraud (Scams) This Week.
Central Area of the Borough. - Telephone/Courier Scam. Victim received an unsolicited call from someone claiming to be from a Bank, saying that the victim should withdraw cash from the Bank. When the victim was withdrawing the cash, the Bank contacted the Police as part of their fraud protocol. (No Financial loss) (PR 45240075422) South Area of the Borough. - Social Media Market Place Scam. Victim ordered goods and on a Social Media Market Place site and was asked to pay a £50 deposit. The link was fake. (Financial loss) (PR 45240077302)

Central Between 30/06/2024 12:00 to 01/07/2024 06:00. Sheldon Close, Reigate. Residential Garage Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry through the garage door. Stolen: Nothing taken. (PR 45240074106) 03/07/2024 Between 09:00 to 17:00. Station Road, Redhill. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Access has been gained through the communal secure entrance to the property and a package has been taken from outside the flat door. Stolen: Clothes. (PR 45240075384) 05/07/2024 Between 16:30 to 21:15 Furze Hill, Redhill. Residential Garage Burglary. Method of Entry – Suspect(s) have gained entry through the garage door. Stolen: Bicycle. South Between 27/06/2024 00:00 to 04/07/2024 09:45. Reigate Road, Sidlow. Residential Garage Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry through the garage door. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time.
