Quiz of the day...
What's wrong with this photo?
A. Nothing. B. There are blue skies. C. There should be more cattle in the picture. D. Those cows should not be there... If you answered D, that is the correct answer!
This past weekend, these conservation grazing cattle were let out of the field through the gate up on Leith Hill by someone out on a walk.
The local farmer tried numerous times over the weekend to locate them and we managed to find them this afternoon after they had been seen down on the road and then back on the common this morning.
If you are out walking anywhere in the countryside, please remember the countryside code, which can be found here
https://www.gov.uk/.../the-countryside-code-advice-for...
If you accidentally let livestock out, please try and find out who the farmer is and let them know as soon as possible with the location.
If there is livestock on the road, please contact us so we can try and prevent any road traffic collisions and get the animals back to the farmer.
We want you to enjoy the Countryside, but please do so responsibly. PC Rowley Rural Officer
