We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision early this morning June 9th in Caterham on The Hill.
Officers were called to the Buxton Lane, Ninehams Road and Salmons Lane West roundabout in Caterham on The Hill at around 03:00am following a report of a single vehicle collision involving a grey Mercedes E220.
One passenger, a 34-year-old woman, sadly died at the scene. Two other passengers a man and a woman in their 30s were injured and taken to hospital, one (the woman) in a life-threatening condition. Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported.
A fourth occupant, a man described as being White, aged between 30-40 and of stocky build, left the scene. He was seen to be wearing a white t-shirt and carrying a man-bag. If you were in the area at around 03:00am and might have witnessed the incident or have CCTV, dash cam or helmet cam footage please get in touch.
