Welcome to the Police Update for the past week. 

The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries and vehicle thefts reported between the 30th May 2024 to 6th June 2024.

Personal Fraud (Scams) This Week.

Epsom Downs.   -  Telephone Scams.       The victim has received a number of unsolicited calls claiming to be from Hotpoint wanting them to buy insurance on a their washing machine.  (There has been no financial loss).    (PR 45240061306)

Banstead.   -  Courier Fraud.        The victim has received a call claiming to be from NatWest Bank.  The caller said that there was an issue with the victims Bank Card and they needed to collect the victim’s Debit Card.  The card was collected by a suspect.  (There has been financial loss).    (PR 45240062967).

Burglaries

North

02/06/2024 Between 00:02 to 23:59  Kingswood Road, Tadworth.   Residential  Burglary.  Method of Entry – Forced entry through a window at the rear of the property.

Stolen:  Not confirmed at this time.  (PR 45240062675)

Central

05/06/2024 Between 08:30 to 09:45 Lodge Lane, Redhill.  Attempted Residential  Burglary. Method of Entry – Suspect knocked on the door, offering to do roof repair work and the cleaning of the gutters, as he claimed he was working on a neighbour’s property. Whilst cleaning the gutters, the suspect tried to get into the garage and a vehicle. The suspect was not employed by the nearby roofing contractor.

Horley,  Blundell Avenue.  Between 30/05/2024 22:30 to 31/05/2024 06:38    Vehicle Theft.   Ford Transit Van     (PR 45240061228)

Banstead,  Holly Lane.  Between 29/05/2024 10:00 to 02/06/2024 11:00     Vehicle Theft.      Vauxhall Vivaro  (PR 45240062176)
