Dear Residents,

Welcome to the Police Update for the past week. 

The message includes personal fraud, burglaries and vehicle thefts reported between the 2nd May 2024 to 9th May 2024.

 

Please Note

  • Please report the theft of car number plates. There were 2 reported thefts in the past week.
  • M25 Closure this weekend.  To safely complete this works, a FULL closure is needed between Junction 9 (A243 Leatherhead) and Junction 10 (A3 Wisley) in both directions for installation of a bridge and gantry.  
  • This closure is in place from 9pm on Friday 10 May until 6am Monday 13 May 2024

    Personal Fraud (Scams)  This week

    Tadworth   (PR 45240049527)     Courier Fraud   Victim contacted by phone by a male claiming to be a Police Officer.   (Stolen: Money)

    It is believed that only 5% of Personal Fraud cases are reported.  If you are a victim or you know a victim of a Scam please report it to Action Fraud or use the Ways to Contact details at the end of the Update.

    Burglaries

     

    North

    Between 03/05/2024 12:00 to 08/05/2024 11:40  Shelvers Way, Tadworth   Residential Burglary.  Method of Entry – Forced entry into the property through windows located at the rear of the property.

    Stolen:  Copper Piping and a Water Cylinder  (PR 45240051966)

     

    Central

    Between 06/05/2024 16:00 to 07/05/2024 07:00. Pilgrims Way, Reigate.   Residential Outbuilding Burglary.  Method of Entry –   Forced entry into a secure compound area and two large containers.

    Stolen:  Tools and 2 fold up Bicycles.    (PR 45240050970)

    07/05/2024 Between 10:51 to 11:00. Sandcross Lane, Reigate.   Residential Burglary.  Method of Entry –    Forced entry through the rear patio doors. Suspect(s) were disturbed when the occupant returned to the property.

    Stolen: Jewellery and Cash.    (PR 4524005972)

    02/05/2024 Between 09:15. Woodlands Road, Redhill.   Distraction Burglary.  Method of Entry –     4 Male suspects went to the property claiming they needed to carry out roofing repair work. They asked the occupant to pay in advance.

    Stolen:  Bank Card and Money.    (PR 45240049242)
