Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 8th September 2023

 

Dear Surrey Heath residents.

 

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (26 - 08 Sept 2023). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

 

Bagshot

04/09 09:00 – 11:00.Whitmoor Road, Bagshot. When the informant has returned home they have noticed the front door was now unlocked. They then noticed items on the floor. Upon entering the property they have noticed the internal french doors had been smashed and an untidy searched carried out. Offenders are believed to have gained access form the rear garden. The offenders have managed to force a window open and climb through and then smashed the doors. The offenders are believed to have made their escape through the front door.

 

Camberley

06/09 09:00 – 20:00. Kings Ride, Camberley. Informant has returned home, once inside has noticed part of the inside of the front door lying on the floor. Unknown persons have forced entry to the property. An untidy search of the rooms has taken place, items of jewellery taken.

 

Lightwater

31/08 23:00 – 01/09 05:30. Junction Road, Lightwater. Victims E-bike has been stolen from their garage.

 

Mytchett

31/08 02:15 Rorkes Drift, Mychett. Offender has gained access through the back door of the property.

Notes:

Crime Vehicle

28/08 00:00, Gloucester Road, Bagshot.  Informant has called in to report their neighbour's car door being open and parcel shelf has been removed and believes that it has been broken into.

28/08 14:08 Bourne Close, West End. Informants doorbell has triggered and a man has been seen trying the informants vehicle door.

02/09 17:00 – 03/09 10:30 Mytchett road Mytchett. Vehicle has been parked in car park overnight. Upon return vehicle is gone.

03/09 04:30. Bagshot Green, Bagshot. 2 males with baseball bats and caps and masks attended the property and took the victims moped. Vehicle has been recovered.

30/08 00:00 – 31/08 09:00 Portsmouth Road, Camberley. Offenders have drilled holes in the rear doors of the van and gained access to the vehicle. There was nothing in the van to take but damage has been caused.

04/09 11:20 Atrium car park, Camberley. Two males have been seen trying to break into a silver ford transit but fled the scene when the alarm activated.

Keyless Car Theft

28/08 16:30 – 29/08 08:00. Green Lane, Bagshot. Informant has come out of their property in the morning to find tipper van was missing.

 

 

Theft  

26/08 10:59 – 26/08 13:10. Montagu Close, Lightwater. Informant has had a parcel left by courier on their doorstep. Upon return somebody has taken the parcel before they got home.

31/08 14:00 – 01/09 23:59. Chestnut Lane Chobham. Informants car had broken down, with a friend they managed to push it onto a grass verge, where it was left overnight. Upon return the next day the car was no longer there.

 01/09/ 14:30. London Road, Camberley. Two men have climbed over the victim’s side gate and stolen a ladder from the garden. The victim chased and confronted the two males, who dropped the ladder and left the area. 11 days later a male has been acting suspiciously around victims property, later running off to their vehicle.

 

Theft – Of Tools

06/09 20:00 – 07/09 07:15. London Road, Bagshot.  Van has been broken into overnight night in hotel carpark and tools have been taken.

28/08 22:53 Arundel Road, Camberley. Van parked on driveway, backed up to garage. Has been broken into via the side door and power tools have been stolen. 3 males have been seen on CCTV breaking into the van.
