Updated - Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 22 August 2023


Dear Surrey Heath residents.

 

(updated report to include missing burglary details not included in first release).

 

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (02 - 22 Aug 2023). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).


 

Chobham

04/08 21:00 – 05/08/23 07:00 MINCING LANE, CHOBHAM. Offenders have broken into the living room at the side of the house. Offenders have opened the window by using handle on the inside and carried out an untidy search.

04/08 22:33 – 05/08 06:25 THE AVENUE, CHOBHAM. Suspects have gained entry, through the patio doors into the living room. Intruders have carried out a messy search of or draws and wardrobes contents left on floor.

05/08 00:30 – 08:00 SHRUBBS HILL, CHOBHAM. Suspects have gained entry through doors into French doors into the kitchen, which had a large glass paneling, that was smashed, and suspects were able to unlock the door. A piece of jewellery and some cash had been taken.

04/08 16:30 – 05/08 10:15 FORD ROAD, CHOBHAM. Suspects have smashed a hole in a rear room and lifted the handle and gained entry. An untidy search had been carried out.

02/08 15:00 – 04/08 07:00 MINCING LANE, CHOBHAM.  Suspects have smashed top left window, reached through and opened with the handle. A messy search has then been carried out. Suspects believed to have left through the rear of the property. Jewellery has been stolen from the property.

04/08 20:15 – 05/08 07:45 The AVENUE, CHOBHAM. The informant has entered the property and noticed the handle on the bi fold doors was raised. Upon inspection of the house the informant has found a window in the upstairs back room open.

 

Frimley.

02/08 22:00 – 03/08/23 01:40 FRIMLEY GREEN RD. shed broken into overnight at the bottom of the victim’s garden. 2x motorcycles stolen, from the shed.

 

Frimley Green.

15/08 00:00 – 18:00 CHANCELLOR DRIVE, FRIMLEY. Cycle shed has been broken into, but nothing taken.

Notes:

Burglary Business & Community;   

03/08 16:15 – 04/08/23 07:05 FRIMLEY PARK HOSPITAL. Site office at the rear of the hospital has been broken into and items taken. Items taken laptop, a cordless drill and batteries and an electric saw.

09/08 01:45 HEATHER RIDGE ARCADE, CAMBERLEY. Three male suspects have broken into the location with a crowbar and believed to have stolen cigarettes.

 

Crime Vehicle;   

08/08 01:30 -01:35 HAMILTON CLOSE, BAGSHOT. Vehicle was parked on the road. Victim was woken up to the sound of knocking and then the van alarm going off. Occupant of the property had gone out and scared the offenders away. Nothing had been stolen only damage to the vehicle lock.

09/08 01:00 – LONDON ROAD, BAGSHOT.  Victims van got broken into overnight and offender’s stoles all tools and some personal belongings.

10/08 18:00 – 21:30 DELTA ROAD, CHOBHAM. Informant has parked their car up at around 1800 HRS and has returned to their vehicle at 2130HRS and found that their front and rear number plates had been removed.

14/08 21:00 – 15/08 07:30 WATCHETTS ROAD, CAMBERLEY. A rear number plate has been removed from the informant’s vehicle whilst parked in a carpark overnight.

10/08 00:00 – WATCHETTS ROAD, CAMBERLEY. A front number plate has been stolen overnight.

 

Keyless Car Theft;

12/08 00:01 – 09:00 JOPLING ROAD, CHOBHAM. Vehicle has been stolen from the victim's drive.

 

Theft;

03/08 14:30 – 05/08 17:00 LONDON ROAD, CAMBERLEY. Bikes have been stolen from the bike store at compass house. Bikes had been secured by bike chain that had been cut.

09/08 08:15 – 19:15 FRIMLEY PARK HOSPITAL, FRIMLEY. Bike was stolen from the rear of the hospital. Bike was locked with a good quality lock, but bike and lock were gone when the victim returned that night.

10/08 17:30 HIGHT STREET, CAMBERLEY. Victim has dropped their bank card. It has then been picked up and used by suspects several times.

 

Theft – Of Tools

07/08/ 21:30 – 08/08 07:00 MIDDLEMOOR ROAD, FRIMLEY. Informants van has been broken into and tools stolen. Informants van was parked outside their home. Toolboxes were scattered around the van and tools had been taken. Tools taken are angle grinder, skill saw, combi drill and impact driver/ impact wrench.

07/08 21:30 – 08/08 07:30 THE HATCHETS, FRIMLEY GREEN. Informant went to bed and woke to find van had been broken into. Items had been found by the victim near by where the incident happened.

15/08 02:00 WATCHETTS ROAD, CAMBERLEY. Informants van had been broken into and tools stolen. Tool boxes and ladder left outside the van by the offenders.
